Georgia Davies is reigning Commonwealth 50m Backstroke champion and in the form of her life, having won five medals across the 2014 Commonwealth Games and European Championships.
The Welsh swimmer made her senior breakthrough as part of the Wales team at the 2010 Commonwealth Games where she landed 50m Backstroke bronze.
A Welsh record 59.60 split in the opening 100m of the 200m Backstroke at the 2011 ASA Nationals convinced selectors to take her to her first World Championships in Shanghai the following year where she finished 10th in the 50m Backstroke and sixth in the 4x100m Medley Relay.
Georgia has been a senior Championship regular ever since, landing 50m Backstroke silver at the 2011 European Short Course Championships before finishing 15th in the 100m Backstroke on her Olympic debut at London 2012.
She finished her 2012 season with a fourth (50m Backstroke) and fifth (100m Backstroke) at the World Short Course Championships in Istanbul then impressed to finish sixth in the 50m Backstroke at the 2013 World Championships in Barcelona.
After winning the British 100m Back title for the first time in April 2014, Davies achieved her best international results later in the season, winning 50m Back gold and 100m Back silver for Wales at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, then adding 50m Back silver and bronzes in the 100m Back and 4x100m Medley Relay on her European Championship debut in Berlin.
